This was my first official "rails" conference. Overall, after driving about 23 hours round trip and spending about $2000, this was worth it! There were a lot of events that I went to that where umm... not what I expected... but there were also a few "gems" that made the whole thing worth while. Some good talks about security, refactoring, testing, etc. I am looking forward to using Heroku, GIThum, and... more testing!!! I have been flying at the seams of my pants for the last 2 years -- it's all about testing now! (my key takeaways) I was there — not bad.

There were a lot of events that I went to that where umm… not what I expected… but there were also a few “gems” that made the whole thing worth while.
