New version of Ubuntu available tomorrow!

I can’t wait…. A new major release of Ubuntu will be available for download on the 24th. Ubuntu v8.04 (Hardy Heron) brings a bunch of improvements to the table — new features, bug fixes, etc.

Here are some of the new / updated areas that interested me:

• LTS version (last LTS version of ubuntu was 6.06)
• GNOME v2.22 & Nautilus
• Linux Kernal v2.6.24
• X Window System v7.3
• Display auto configuration enhancements that will hopefully benefit my laptop install of ubuntu.
• Firefox v3 (beta) is the default browser.
